Bear Toy / PDF Pattern and Sewing Tutorial
With this pattern, you’ll make the baby’s first friend last a lifetime of hugs and as nursery decor. I believe, there’s something wonderful about sewing that special toy that can stay with children as they grow up - first as soft, snuggly friends, then as companions for storytelling and dress-up play, as the inspiration for craft projects, and eventually as a memorable treasure. Perfect for playtime, snuggle time, naptime, and bedtime.

Bear Toy / PDF Pattern and Sewing Tutorial
I’ve been sewing for years and I had to recut and redo multiple steps for this bear. Some pieces are meant to be cut along the line and others stitched. I remade the head twice and could never get the pieces to line up properly. I also had a hard time printing it to scale as the pattern extends beyond typical print borders. Printed it at 90% and it still cut off the edges of some pieces. The pattern could use more instructions and markings to make the whole process easier. If following the PDF instructions step by step you should be okay. It’s such a cute bear but I wouldn’t make it again based on the challenges I encountered.
I made this for my grandson. It was much easier than I thought it would be, and turned out super cute! I had made a few stuffed animals before, and this is by far the cutest.

The pattern is incredible.
The finish plush looks amazing! I really love it.
The only thing I noticed was that the arms were a little bit larger than expected but not sure if that was a pattern situation or that I cut them like that.
Congratulations
