Materials

Main fabric for the whale: I use plain micro chenille. However other materials such as fleece, cashmere, flannel, minky or just regular cotton could work. – 0.2 meter cut* for the family of two whales (mom & baby)

Fabric for the belly: I use rib jersey but every rib knit fabric or corduroy could serve as well. – 0.2 meter cut*

Iron on interfacing for the tail to make it solid and keep it upward shape: I use Pellon 911FF Iron-On Feather Shape Interfacing. Any other featherweight iron on interfacing also work. – 0.2 meter cut*

*You need even less than 0.2 but this cut size is usually the smallest cut you can get in fabric stores.
